On October 6, 2007, artisan cheesemakers will be coming to the Portland Farmer's Market from all over the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. Visitors will be able to sample an incredible variety of sheep, goat and cow's milk cheeses as well as learn about all of the amazing hand crafted cheeses available locally. Nationally recognized cheese authorities Laura Werlin, author of the new book Laura Werlin's Cheese Essentials, will be in attendance, offering a seminar on cheese and wine pairing. Jeffrey Roberts, author of The Atlas of American Artisan Cheese, will speak on the artisan cheese renaissance in the United States.
To register for the seminars, fill out the form here. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Tickets can be picked up at the Wedge Information Booth at least one hour prior to the event. Unclaimed tickets will be made available to festival-goers at that time.
