Culture Magazine - Coming Soon to Newsstands Near You

Culture MagazineA new magazine is in the works that's focused exclusively on cheese. Culture promises to be to the cheese world what the Wine Spectator is to the wine world, celebrating 'the pleasure and pedigree of cheese.' Kate Arding and Lassa Skinner, two SF Bay area cheese mavens (Kate is a veteran of Neals Yard and Cowgirl Creamery, Lassa works at Oxbow Cheese Merchant in Napa) are the brains behind the magazine. They'll bring their collective years of experience in the cheese and food industries to culture.

Topics in this quarterly review will include everything about cheese you ever wanted to know (or didn't know you wanted to know): how to eat and serve cheese, stories about farmers and cheesemakers and cheese shops, recipes and more. Arding and Skinner describe it as the first cheese magazine dedicated to consumers, as opposed to the trade.

Culture will be distributed nationally to newsstands as well as to gourmet food and cheese shops. Look for the first issue this fall.
