* Sasha Davies, author of the website Cheese By Hand, was interviewed this weekend on KCRW's Good Food program. To access the program, click here (interview occurs about ten minutes in). * Vancouver BC's Curds & Whey Festival will be held this year on Nov. 15th, 2008 at the Granville Island Public Market. I went to the Festival last year - see my account here. This is a great opportunity to visit some of BC's local artisan cheesemakers and sample their wares - all in one place.
* Kookoolan Farms is offering a basic soft cheesemaking class on Saturday Nov. 1st. Kookoolan is located in Yamhill County outside of Portland. The course will be taught by Scott Catino, who's in the process of starting his own artisan creamery in Gaston. Cost is $50 - see the website for more information or to register.
